1981 Doctorate at the university of Utrecht by Prof. Dr. G.'t Hooft (Nobel prize 1999)on a subject in  cosmology

1986 PHD at the university of Amsterdam by Prof. Dr. K.Gaemers and Prof. Dr. E.van den Heuvel. Thesis: "Primordial High-Frequency Perturbations in Cosmology"[DARE archive API-UvA]

1986- Independent researcher in the field of cosmic string physics in connection with causality violating problems and non-abelian gauge fields

   Reinoud Slagter[09-09-49] is married with Titia Oppenhuis de Jong
